Trooper Parker Smith has expressed his gratitude and wanted to update everyone on the progress of his Little Buddy:
“I just wanted to extend my gratitude to everyone who has been praying for us in this extremely tough time. Words just can’t explain how grateful we have been for all of the support! With everyone’s donations we have been able to get ourselves fed.” “We are doing our best to make the money go as far as we can. It is surreal how many people love our boy and want to support him. From the bottom of my heart thank you!”
“So far Christian seems to be taking steps in the correct direction. He had his breathing tube removed and is breathing on his own. It is really nice to have my boy awake and looking around. Monday we were able to check into the Ronald McDonald House near the hospital. People from all over the World have been impacted by little Christian and have become so invested in our situation. I was also able to hold my sweet boy in my arms again.”
“Unfortunately when he woke up he didn’t say “dad” or “mom” which is what we were really hoping. He has not been moving his left arm or left leg, Due to the large stroke he suffered to the right side of his brain. His jaw is still fractured in 3 different points. Most of the day he lays in his bed and looks around. He is having a very hard time focusing on things. We were told that he this will be a lifelong injury and it’ll take years for his recovery. Today they also brought up an artery on the right side of his heart that needs to be addressed. He may need to have surgery within a few weeks which we were told was a “high risk” operation. So please pray for him there. He has been having a lot of seizures and can’t leave the PICU until we get them under control. Christian still really needs the prayers.”
“My boy today did say a few words and that was just the biggest high since the crash. He said “I love you” to his mom. He also moved the toes on the left side of his foot. God is good. We will get through this in time. Please Please Please continue to pray for us.”
I am praying…for your little buddy and you two and big brother. God is good…all the time. He is still with you here and that is a gift for certain. May God do a miracle and bring tremendous healing and restoration of what has been momentarily taken from Christian.
GRACIOUS AND LOVING GOD, watch over Christian who faces unrelenting and overwhelming injury. Send your grace upon him and his family so they will know your loving and healing presence. Give to this family strength, hope, and joy as they face difficult treatment and recovery.
We pray this in your son’s name. Amen
Amen
I just came across this while searching for something else online from the other side of the earth and am so moved by this story. Praying for complete healing and restoration for little Christian in Jesus’ name. He is in God the Creator and Healer’s hands and he will be fine. May blessings abound to the whole family.
So very sorry for your family! We pray your baby boy heals and gets to go home soon. We will pray for strength and comfort during this difficult time . God Bless you and your beautiful family
Thinking of Christian everyday! I am glad to see his improvements.
Our prayers are with your family and your little buddy. After 30 years with the Patrol I can say God was with me in that neither my nor my family were experiencing the terrible stress and anxiety you and your family are now living through.
So much love and uplifting prayers for your sweet family. I pray your boy will soon speak our names. Your whole family is in my heart, especially if brother. I know he’s staying strong like mom and dad!❤️❤️
I’m still sending up prayers for your little Buddy and the rest of you. Stay strong.
Prayers for this beautiful child and his family. He is in wonderful hands at the Childrens Hospital. We spent two weeks there with my granddaughter. You couldn’t be in a better place. The Ronald McDonald house was a godsend also.
Sending up prayers for you and all of your family. Know that God loves you all and will carry you through one day at a time. Give God your praise, honor and glory and he will sustain you even though you don’t see it now. Praying every day.
Love in Christ,
Terry Reynolds
