I don’t even know how to start this, but you pulled us over not even a week prior to this. I had just gone to the doctor for my ankle and my Boyfriend was driving and our 3 year old daughter was in the back seat. You did everything to let her know that you ( officers of the law) are good guys! You gave her stickers and a coloring book. I could see in your eyes you had to have kids. You even asked us and proceeded to check her car seat…. When I first read what happened to your family my heart sunk and I can’t stop thinking about how much you cared about our little one and my heart breaks for you. We have prayed every day for your little boy, you and your family! I’m so happy to hear he is awake and said I love you to his Mama! We will continue to pray for you guys! You sir, definitely made an impact in our life and I just wanted to let you know that you are appreciated and your family continues to be in our prayers!

We are sending prayers from Seattle. We hope Christian makes as full of a recovery as possible. My dad had a TBI and I did a lot of research to help him. There is a lot of research showing that a high fat, moderate protein diet (like a ketogenic or carnivore diet) can support brain healing. Sunlight/daylight (and uvb lamps or near/far infrared lamps in the winter) can also reduce inflammation and help with healing. Research also shows that sugar (even from fruit & starchy veggies) can cause inflammation (which can impede healing). Many doctors are not aware of this new research. Dr. Dale Bresdan has a book about it. But there are many other neurologists who are trying to get the word out. I just wanted you to know about it because nutrition can make or break healing and I wanted you to have access to info that you may not otherwise hear about from the hospital. I know you and your family is going through a lot right now and are overwhelmed and I don't want to pile on. I just wanted you to have the info we wished we would have had sooner for my dad. I hope a way I can ease that stress is by saying as a mom that had a baby in that hospital and a nurse that has sent patients to that hospital, they take phenomenal care of their patients and I have so much faith that will take wonderful care of your son. Remember to take care of yourselves so you can take the best care of him. You can give him your best, if you are not your best. It’s so much easier said than done and the nurses were great about telling us to go get air, go on a walk, get a coffee.
