Here is an update on Little Buddy:
Unfortunately, the smith family was recently informed that Christian still has 4 to 6 weeks remaining at the hospital for advanced care before he can be released and begin any long term care. Christian continues fighting and moving forward. This little guy is most definitely a champ.
From his dad, Parker:
“Well this week has been a good week. Our son was able to say Mom, Dad, I love you. He was also able to remember some of his colors. The support from the community has just been the biggest blessing. I’m so thankful for all of the prayers and financial support everyone has been pouring in. Christian has been making huge steps in the right direction! Today we got him in a wheelchair so that we can take him on walks. We also gave him apple sauce, his first real food since the crash.
Christian has moved out of the PICU! He continues to recover, but does have a very challenging heart surgery coming up in the near future. His body’s left side is still facing mobility issues. Continued prayers are appreciated as he navigates the next challenge.
He is still not moving his left leg or left arm. He is also having a hard time supporting his head up on his own. They are also still talking about surgery on the main artery on the right side of his heart.”
The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association family continues to send our well wishes and prayers to Christian and his family.
I’m continuing to pray for your little guy and for all of you. I worked at our hospital in Sheridan Wyomin for 26 years and spent 20 years of that working in the Pediatric Dept. My heart is with you as your little guy continues to heal.
