Cheyenne, WY – The roar of diesel engines mingled with the enthusiastic cheers of supporters on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) and numerous community partners hosted the monumental 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Truck Convoy. This annual event is far more than a parade of impressive vehicles; it’s a powerful statement of solidarity, successfully generating over $14,000 to benefit the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Wyoming.
A Unified Effort for a Noble Cause
The LETR Truck Convoy stands as a premier fundraising event, showcasing the incredible teamwork between various law enforcement agencies, trucking companies, and civilian supporters. The success of the 2025 event was a direct result of this collaboration, with the funds raised directly supporting year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The atmosphere was electric as the convoy prepared to roll out. Taking the lead position was Sheriff Kozak in the primary Law Enforcement vehicle, accompanied by a special guest, Congresswoman Harriet Hageman. Their presence underscored the broad, high-level commitment to the mission of Special Olympics, highlighting the importance of every dollar raised.
“The Truck Convoy is a special event because it physically demonstrates the strong partnership between our law enforcement community, trucking community and the athletes we serve,” said an LETR representative. “Seeing the energy of the participants, the athletes and the generosity of our donors is truly inspiring, and this year’s $14,000-plus total is a testament to Wyoming’s big heart.”
